This year's Jamboree was hosted by Louth Chess Club and held at the Mason's Arms in Louth. There were 8 teams (4 players in each) competing and the top spot was very closely contested. Lincoln Sharks prevailed to come first place with 11½ points (out of a possible 16), half a point ahead of Louth and Grantham who came equal second on 11 points. During the half time break Peter Sherlock made a presentation to Mike Colebrook who had stood down as County Secretary and Lincolnshire League Secretary at last year's AGM. This had brought to a close a long and distinguished service to Lincolnshire Chess stretching back 40 years. Mike's service to Grimsby Chess Club was also recognised as he is a Life member of the club. A certificate was presented to Mike to show his achievements.
