The semi-finals of the EPSCA National Primary Schools Chess Championships took place at Prestatyn in North Wales on 14th-15th June. Each team taking part had 5 players plus 1 reserve. There were 6 rounds played over the 2 days. The top two teams from each event qualify for the final. Lisle Marsden school from Grimsby, Lincolnshire entered 2 teams this year. One team entered the U11 section and the other in the U9 section. The U11 team finished =12th out of 30 while the U9 team finished =17th out of 26.
